The Vermont Department of Health recognizes Trinity as a Gold Level Partner in working to reduce the risk of chronic diseases. Our efforts in the Food Shelf, as well as partnering in the community with the Rise to 5K training, planting raised bed gardens at The Willows and even offering the CSA vegetables last summer and our weekly prayer walks all are ways of promoting healthy living.
As Pastor Paul wrote in an upcoming press release:
Here at Trinity, we often say that we are called to live as stewards of all God has entrusted to us, and this includes our bodies. We're thankful for what has been entrusted to us and when healthy living helps us avoid three behaviors that lead to four diseases which cause 50% of the deaths in Vermont, this is clearly stewardship that honors God!
We're glad the Vermont Department of Health thinks so too!
